My older mare seems to need to have her teeth floated every 3-6 months, she is 18 and her teeth seem to grow at an exceptionally fast rate. Most of my horses only need to be done once a year, with a couple of the senior horses twice a year mainly because they are losing teeth quickly. Joey has not lost any teeth and they are growing non stop, she gets to the stage where she has is not chewing her food properly and much is falling out her mouth. Of course, I am getting the dental tech out each time, but i just wondered if anyone else had horses with fast growing teeth? Whether there was a reason behind it?
Sorry, I can't help you but it seems to be an uncommon problem

Wow, I have never had, or even heard of a horse that needed its teeth floated more than every 6 months. Seems unusual.
