2011 dates for Lights Hands Horsemanship, sponsored by Spalding Labs, have been announced. May 19-22 the 5th Annual Light Hands Horsemanship clinic will be held at Intrepid Farm in beautiful Santa Ynez, California.

Featured horseman and educators will include Dr. Robert Miller, Jack Brainard, Lester Buckley, Richard Winters, Jon Ensign, Rick Lamb, Monty Roberts and Eitan Beth-Halachmy. All these individuals have a unique blend of being excellent educators as well as entertainers.

Those attending will learn about building better relationships with horses through communicating with a light touch. Clinic sessions focus on everything from colt starting and obstacle training to footfall and cadence. The Light Hands Horsemanship clinic is a journey in horsemanship. At 3-1/2 days it may be a short journey but it is a rewarding one.

It is a rare opportunity to visit with horsemen from other states and other countries. 2010 had people attending from 14 states and seven countries that included Canada, France, Poland, Hungary, Brazil, Argentina and Australia.

Spalding Labs will continue to sponsor Light Hands Horsemanship in 2011. When asked why he continues to sponsor the event, chief fly guy, Tom Spalding replied, “Because I believe in it.” That sentiment holds true for all people involved in bringing this event to the public.

With last year’s attendance as an indicator, Light Hands Horsemanship 2011 is likely to reach maximum attendance early. Registration for the event will open in the fall.
