Jon started his career with decades of riding, rodeo, and breaking ranch and cow horses. But he felt there was something missing. He was certain there was a better way to communicate with horses that created unity and a stronger relationship.

Jon began to study and search for a way to create a more mutually beneficial team between horse and rider. He gives credit to many trainers including Ray Hunt, Brian Neubert, Martin Black, Jeff Griffith and especially Buck Brannaman. While studying with Buck, Jon developed a method of teaching that has since helped thousands of riders improve their skills and overall horsemanship.

“I am doing with my clients what Buck and Jeff did for me – showing them a better way, and explaining why the horse is doing what it’s doing. My clients learn to leave behind their man-made thoughts and to think and feel like the horse, and to deal with the animal in a more natural way.”

Jon’s success and popularity has resulted from a combination of his understanding of horses and his skill and patience as a teacher of riders.
