  • Hello Maureen,

Fly Predators are slower to emerge in the spring due to the cooler temps in transit.

You want to wait till you see only 12 to 20 Predators moving in the bag before you release them.  This may take 10-14 days  AFTER receiving the shipment for hatching to occur.  The insects are temperature SENSITIVE,  so you can speed up emergence by keepingthem in a consistently warm location out of direct sunlight.  The OPTIMUM TEMPS WOULD BE 80-85 DEGREES F, so the warmest location such as the laundry room or under a lamp would be best.

Please put them in a warmer location in the house where it is warmer than room temperatures and give it a few more days.

    Thank you,

    Sonny
